The week is flying by. I've been sleeping really heavy this week and its been making my mornings excruciating! Work is good - been working on development projects as well as SuperBuddys. We have a "Giraffe" SuperBuddy in the works right now. She's looking good so far.
It's been a good week of gaming so far. Everyone I play with on a regular basis now has the Call of Duty 4 multiplayer beta, so we've been getting in some good games on there. Dave finally bought an xbox360 over the weekend - Keep your eye out for DvMX on live!
Microsoft dished out a few tea-bags for their own today. Nearly 23,000 consoles have been banned for 24 hours from the xbox-live service due to an exploit gamers had found with the Call of Duty 4 beta. By recovering a gamertag that has already gained entry to the beta - cheap ass gamers can download and play the beta without actually having a token. What's the big deal? Well, I know that Infinity Ward has been careful about the amount of tokens they've been giving out at any given time. That way they can test the server reliabilities and ramp up the capacity as they go. Now, they have 23,000 extra players that they didn't expect and the end result is laggy, unstable servers. Plus, it was quite a hassle to acquire a beta token and it's just shitty that people didn't have to jump through all the hoops the rest of us did.The community on the Call of Duty 4 beta has been really immature. Rooms have been full of halo kids looking for attention via xbox live - shouting obscenities in the headset and talking random trash. Mix those kids with laggy servers and the whole experience just blows. It's not always bad - but more often than not. Bloody Rids and I had some great games last night against a trio of French guys in small team matches - 3v3 death match or search and destroy missions.
I might as well mention that the level-cap on the Call of Duty 4 beta will be pushed up to 16 on Friday! More weapons and perks will be available to unlock as well as the create and join a clan option. Fourzerotwo said this will be one of several level increases they will be doing with the beta!
A few new demos are out on the dashboard that I need to go and spend some time with:
I also need to download the Gears of War maps that were made available for free download last weekend.
Apple announced all new iPods yesterday. The new iPod Touch is basically an iPhone without the phone feature. You can browse the web and download music directly to your ipod from anywhere via WiFi. No more click-wheel - everything is navigated using your fingers and the multi-touch screen. The only thing I don't understand is the capacity. They only have 2 models, an 8GB or 16GB model. They also released new versions of all the other iPods (shuffle, nano, and classic). The new "classic" iPods have 160GB capacity options - sick! iPhones are now $200 cheaper too - get your Apple on!
Most of the summer TV shows I've been watching are coming to an end. The FX network continues to take up the majority of my TV watching. The new show Damages is at the top of my list. You are missing out if you haven't been watching. Rescue Me has only one episode left. It's been good, but not as good as previous seasons. This year feels all over the place, and while that may be the point - it just leaves you unsatisfied after each episode.
Other shows I caught up on this week were LA Ink and The Hills.

I'm looking forward to more COD4 action tonight - I'm addicted!
See ya on live :)
