my attention/my sleep

Its about 12:30 am on Tuesday. For the second night in a row I was woke up by a loud sound in my apartment. Tonight it sounded like one of the cabinets in my kitchen had fallen. It woke me up so I ran in and ofcourse it was perfectly fine. Two nights ago Star and I were sleeping on the couch and out of nowhere something hits the window right next to us - Scared the crap out of us! It sounded like a rock was thrown at it or maybe a bird ran into it. I looked outside - of course, no one was out there. It could be the ambien? But, even star reacted to the noises - she jumped and scratched me when something hit the window. Is something or someone trying to get my attention? I'm getting tired of fighting with sleep.
