My work keyboard and my favorite little robot wind-up toy

We finally wrapped up the Smallville Legends: Kara and Chronicles of Krypton project at work. I think everyone - Warner Bros, the writers, the artist, and especially the fans are happy with how it came out. Each episode had a scene or two that challenged myself and I always enjoy that. I got the opportunity to work with artist that inspired me to approach my scenes differently (thanks Dermot!). I did little compositing in After Effects for the first time and animated a few scenes that I am really proud of. Overall - it was a good experience. Hail ZOD!

By the way, Episode 3 released on Thursday. Check it out, as well as the first two episodes over at http://cwtv.com/thecw/kara

I'm sure you've heard the hype of Grand Theft Auto IV releasing last week for the XBOX 360 and PS3. I picked up the game last Tuesday and have been playing it every chance I get. I finished the 94+ story-mode missions on Sunday afternoon, but still only completed 64% of the game. My one world review of the game would be "immersive". Liberty City is full of humor and sin on every city block - and I can't get enough!

On top of the amazing story-mode, Rockstar Games added a full multiplayer experience. My favorite game mode is "Cops vs. Crooks". The cops start out in a police car with sirens blaring and the position of the crooks highlighted on their radar. The crooks start out outfitted with mob-style suits and pistols - with one player designated as the "boss". The object of the game is for the crooks to escort the "boss" to an extraction vehicle (a boat or a helicopter) that is highlighted on their radar. The cops need to eliminate the boss, or the getaway vehicle before the crooks can reach it. The game quickly evolves into high-speed car chases and epic gun battles throughout Liberty City. The first time I played it I got this nostalgic rush that reminded me of being a little kid playing cops n' robbers in the back yard. It's a fun alternative to the hardcore game play of Call of Duty 4.

Look-out-week-end... cuz - here I come!
